Belief and Baptism

Mark 16

15 And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.”

In Mark’s version of the Great Commission, he leaves no room for doubt. Belief and Baptism are inseparable and essential. In fact those who don’t believe won’t be baptized, and they will be condemned. Last night, Erin Peterson was buried with Christ in the watery grave of baptism. Because of her belief, she wanted to join with Christ in baptism, raised into a new life. Erin is one of my heroes. Her love for Jesus and for the Bible is plainly evident. She is an action oriented person. Erin is one reason why I do what I do, and why the rewards are so great! Thank You Lord, Jesus for allowing me to privilege to see YOU in action through people like Erin!!!
