2 Chronicles 12
14 But he was an evil king, for he did not seek the Lord with all his heart.
This statement about Rehoboam strikes me this morning. It is not about the king, it is about his heart that has me thinking. God defines evil as someone who does not seek the Lord with all his heart. There is no such thing as serving the Lord half-heartedly. You either follow God or you don’t. If you don’t, you are evil. By definition! Father, I confess that there have been numerous occasions when I didn’t follow You with all my heart. Forgive me of that sin, and may You always receive my best and my all from this day forward. I ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
