No One Like You

Jeremiah 10

6 LORD, there is no one like you!
For you are great, and your name is full of power.
7 Who would not fear you, O King of nations?
That title belongs to you alone!
Among all the wise people of the earth
and in all the kingdoms of the world,
there is no one like you.

On this 28th wedding anniversary of mine, I read this passage and want to echo Jeremiah in proclaiming God’s glory. I know he is prophesying the doom of idolatry in Judah. I am celebrating God’s 2nd greatest gift in my life: Peggy. My salvation through Jesus is the best gift (duh). Anyway, this passage also reminds me of a David Crowder Band song: “No One Like You.”

You are more beautiful
Than anyone ever
Everyday You're the same
You never change, no never

You are more beautiful
Than anyone ever
Everyday You're the same
You never change, no never

And how could I ever deny
The love of my Savior
You are to me everything
All I need forever

How could You be so good to me?

There is no one like You
There has never ever been anyone like You!

To that sentiment I can only add my hearty, “Amen!”
