Persistent Prayer Life

Luke 18

1 One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.

What follows this verse is the parable of the persistent widow. Jesus wants His followers to know that prayer is not just something to be done in the “fox holes of life.” Prayer is essential in our relationship with God the Father. If we don’t talk with Him, how can we have close relationship? Yet, how often do we let days go by without much more than the perfunctory acknowledgements of our Creator? I am working harder these days to be a man of persistent prayer. I don’t always succeed, but it is not from a lack of trying. May my prayer life be more reflective of a close relationship with God the Father, and may Jesus be glorified through my prayer life always
