Luke 17
20 One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the Kingdom of God come?”
Jesus replied, “The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs. 21 You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is already among you.”
Why is it that we tend to look for something assuming it is far off? Those of us who follow Christ should know that Jesus is right here with us every step of the way, because He has promised us that He would be. The Holy Spirit Who indwells us will lead us in the Way, if we are willing to submit to Him. The Kingdom of God is not at hand, it is here. Ushered in by Jesus, Himself, the Kingdom has been around for some 2,000 years now. As a citizen of the Kingdom, I have a responsibility to do all that I can to bring others into this Kingdom through the saving power of the Blood of Jesus. May my life ever be dedicated to that proposition.
