Fundamentals Flawed

Hebrews 6

1 So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.

God must grow weary of us being stuck in the fundamentals. How are we to ever grow closer to Him in our daily walk when we can’t even get past lesson 101? Why is it that we tend to stay stuck in the fundamentals? Because we do not study the Scriptures for ourselves, and we instead rely on someone else to spoon feed us the Word of God! I say this to our shame. Until the Church of our Lord and Savior Jesus gets past the fundamental (which cannot even be agreed upon by those who want to re-invent the salvation process), then how are we to seriously think that we can grow closer to God and grow to be more like Jesus? Simple: we can’t.
