Psalm 12
6 The Lord’s promises are pure,
like silver refined in a furnace,
purified seven times over.
The Lord has promised that in this world there will be trouble. The Lord has promised that we will be opposed, and oppressed. The Lord has promised that brother will hate brother, that families will be torn apart, and that His followers will be flogged, imprisoned, tortured, and killed. But take heart, the Lord has promised that He would never leave us. The Lord has promised that He has overcome the world. The Lord has promised us that no matter what we face in this life, it will be worth. The Lord’s promises are pure, and I will hold tightly to them every day of my life.
