Psalm 24
1 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.
The world and all its people belong to him.
2 For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas
and built it on the ocean depths.
Why is that we puny little people get it in our heads that the universe revolves around us? We listen to the lies of satan, and start believing that we are “all that.” When we stop and think about this tiny ball of dirt spinning around a not-all-that-spectacular star (the sun) in a relatively insignificant solar solar system lost in the vastness of the universe, well…kind of puts things in perspective, doesn’t it? We mere human beings are not “all that” by any stretch of the imagination. Our eternal worth comes through Jesus. God’s love for us is “all that” but His love comes not because we deserve it, rather God loves us because He is God. May I live my life today praising the One Who owns the earth and everything in it.
