Pleasing God

Proverbs 21

3 The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just
than when we offer him sacrifices.

I have nothing to sacrifice that would impress God. I mean, I am a lowly human being. I am a creation of the Most High God of the Universe. Anything I could offer as a sacrifice would be puny to Him. How could I possibly hope to impress God with my sacrifice? God wants me to live like Jesus lived. He wants me to do what is right and just, to love people like He loves them. When I have done that, I have only done what I was supposed to do in the first place. How could that be considered a “sacrifice”? May my life be pleasing to God always, and may my heart beat as one with the heart of my Lord and Savior, Jesus.
