Mark 5
18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon possessed begged to go with him. 19 But Jesus said, “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.” 20 So the man started off to visit the Ten Towns of that region and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed at what he told them.
What? Jesus won’t allow someone who wants to follow Him to do so? Why? Because Jesus knew this man could be more effective for the Kingdom by staying where he was. There have been many times in my life when I wanted to go for Jesus, with Jesus, anywhere other than where I was. Silly me. There was a time period a few years back when I begged God to send me anywhere. Stupid me. I am so glad that I learned to be where Jesus wants me. Only then, can I truly be effective for the Kingdom.
