Mark 7
14 Then Jesus called to the crowd to come and hear. “All of you listen,” he said, “and try to understand. 15 It’s not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart.”
Lord, I know that I must love You from the inside out. I understand that it is that which comes from within me that defiles me. My own sinful desires, and acting on the desires is what grieves Your heart. Father, help me to combat the evil that resides in me by filling me with Your Holy Spirit every single day. I know that my body is a temple of the Lord, and I know that I must spend time in the Word of God every day so that I can be properly filled from the inside out.
