Nehemiah 8
6 Then Ezra praised the LORD, the great God, and all the people chanted, “Amen! Amen!” as they lifted their hands. Then they bowed down and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.
As a worship guy, I am always interested at seeing various methods of worship described in the Scriptures. With hands in the air and faces on the ground, the people praised God chanting “Amen, Amen.” Tomorrow, we will gather with like-minded folks, sing songs, pray, celebrate the Lord’s Supper, and hear a message from God’s Word. Perhaps we should spend some time on our faces proclaiming to God “so be it!” (that’s what “amen” means). May God be glorified in my life every day, and may His glory be proclaimed as I lead others in a time of corporate worship tomorrow.
