God Never Changes

Malachi 3

6a “I am the LORD, and I do not change.”

God today is the same God who spoke the universe into existence. He is the same God Who kicked Adam & Eve out of the Garden of Eden because of their sin. He is the same God Who flooded the earth destroying every living creature except those in the ark that Noah had built. God is the same God Who destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah because not even 10 righteous men could be found in those cities. He is the same God who scattered and allowed to be enslaved, His chosen people because they turned their backs on Him. God is a God of love. He is also a God of Holiness. He expects nothing short of perfect obedience. We are incapable of such obedience. Jesus paid the price for our sins as was part of God’s plan all along. God does not change. He still punishes sinners, and forgives those who obey His Word. The same God Who destroyed the planet with a flood will one day destroy this planet with a fire, and only those who are counted as the Bride of Christ (the Church) will be saved. He is the LORD, and He does not change.
