Praise the Lord

Psalm 150

1 Praise the Lord!

Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heaven!
2 Praise him for his mighty works;
praise his unequaled greatness!
3 Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn;
praise him with the lyre and harp!
4 Praise him with the tambourine and dancing;
praise him with strings and flutes!
5 Praise him with a clash of cymbals;
praise him with loud clanging cymbals.
6 Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!

Praise the Lord!

This Psalm and 1 John chapter 3 are my memory work passages of Scripture for this calendar year. I want my life to reflect an attitude of praise always. Not just when I am leading a corporate Celebration Service on Sunday, but when I am doing yard work through the week, when I am doing media work, sermon duplication, sweeping floors, lifting heavy stuff, driving down the road, standing in line at the grocery store. May my life reflect praise and glory and honor for the Lord God Almighty every day in every single activity of my life!

Praise The Lord

Palm 111

1 Praise the Lord!

Praise him forever!

I will thank the Lord with all my heart
as I meet with his godly people.
2 How amazing are the deeds of the Lord!
All who delight in him should ponder them.
3 Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty.
His righteousness never fails.
4 He causes us to remember his wonderful works.
How gracious and merciful is our Lord!
5 He gives food to those who fear him;
he always remembers his covenant.
6 He has shown his great power to his people
by giving them the lands of other nations.
7 All he does is just and good,
and all his commandments are trustworthy.
8 They are forever true,
to be obeyed faithfully and with integrity.
9 He has paid a full ransom for his people.
He has guaranteed his covenant with them forever.
What a holy, awe-inspiring name he has!
10 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom.
All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom.

I have nothing to add to these sentiments today. I simply want to praise God for Who He is!

Praise the Lord

Psalm 147

1 Praise the Lord!

How good to sing praises to our God!
How delightful and how fitting!

It is only fitting that I sing praises to our God on this day. We are on our way to Nassau aboard the Royal Caribbean Ship, “Monarch of the Seas” as our family cruise is well underway now. While this ship may be a Monarch, my Lord is THE MONARCH over all. I am such a blessed man to be able to be here with all my kids, with Peggy’s parents and with my Bride. God is better to me than I deserve, and the only appropriate response to His lovingkindness towards me is to sing praises to Him, while living a lifestyle of praise for God. May You and You alone be glorified in my life on this day and every day!

Praise the Lord

Psalm 117
1 Praise the Lord, all you nations.

Praise him, all you people of the earth.

2 For he loves us with unfailing love;

the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever.
Praise the Lord!

The LORD is faithful, and He has answered my prayers in such a way as to boggle my mind once more. Thank You, LORD, for Your unfailing love for me and for my son, Ian. You are mighty, You are Awesome, You are Holy, and You alone are worthy of all praise!

Tmely Reminder

Psalm 103

1 Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
2 Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.
3 He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases.
4 He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
5 He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!

The past couple of days have been filled with angst as Lil Bro has been dealing with drilling into an empty Safe Deposit Box, and disposing of the cats who have resided at Dad’s house. Let’s just say that Ed has been living in hell on earth over the past couple of days, and I have been living it with him via text message and phone calls. With this in mind, we have both tried to remember that God is with us. Thank You, Lord for being there, and for reminding me of my purpose in this reading today. I need You and I need this reminder to praise You with all that I am. You alone are God, and to You alone belongs all glory, honor and praise!
