1 Chronicles 28
9a “And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought."
King David is speaking to his son Solomon as David is preparing Solomon to be the next King of Israel. While much of what is said in this passage specifically applies to Solomon, this part from verse 9 strikes me today. What great advice for us all to heed! Learn to know God intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind! Today, I want to pray for an attitude adjustment. I want to worship God with my whole heart, and a willing mind, and I want to know Him intimately.
