Delight In His Presence

Psalm 27

4 The one thing I ask of the Lord—
the thing I seek most—
is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
delighting in the Lord’s perfections
and meditating in his Temple.

Part of this learning to be content thing, is to realize that all I want in life is to be in the presence of Jesus. Whatever happens here on this earth, is no big deal. Yeah, I know it matters at the time, and I know there are spiritual matters that I am not including in that statement. What I mean is this: I’ve settled the spiritual matters - I am a 100% sold-out follower of the Christ and will be as long as I walk on this planet. Therefore, whatever else happens is just stuff. My focus is on Jesus, and my home is where He is. I delight in His presence, and I long for eternity with Him.
