Peace Factor

Proverbs 17

1 Better a dry crust eaten in peace

than a house filled with feasting—and conflict.

So many homes are filled with conflict. Now, I’m talking about the constant conflict, not the occasional skirmish that goes along with multiple people living under the same roof. Recently in a conversation with Ian, I had him note how many of his friends come from broken homes, blended families and just plain ole dysfunctional situations. It seems to be a rare commodity these days to find nuclear families in tact. Not that there can’t be plenty of conflict within an in-tact nuclear family, but when I look at the conflicts we go through, they truly are minor compared with the conflicts that rage in many other households. the secret? We have a bunch in our family who love Jesus. Jesus IS peace!
