Open Minds

Acts 17

11 And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth. 12 As a result, many Jews believed, as did many of the prominent Greek women and men.

It is interesting that those with OPEN MINDS sought the Truth found in Scripture and came to believe in Jesus the Christ. We Christ followers today get accused of being closed minded, intolerant, and rigid in our thinking. Quite the opposite is true of those who follow Jesus. You must open your mind to the possibility that you are NOT the center of the universe. You must be tolerant of the FACT that Jesus is the ONE and ONLY son of God and that we are called to obey and follow Him. You must not follow lock-step with the worldly way of thinking and reasoning, instead being open to what the Creator of Heaven and Earth has to say. Like the folks in Berea. You must be open minded to the Gospel of Christ.
