Standing in God's Way

Acts 11

15c ...who was I to stand in God’s way?

Peter is ‘splaining why he was hanging out with Gentiles, baptizing them even! The Jewish leaders of the Church were less than pleased when they first heard the news, but when Peter told them the story (as found in Acts 10), a great rejoicing took place. But I love what Peter says in the very last part of verse 15. When I look at my life of service to the Lord Jesus, I want to make sure that I am not standing in the way of His Plans being accomplished. Lord, help me to be faithful to Your Plan even when the plan doesn’t fit my silly pre-conceived notions of what should be done. May I be open to Your leading always, and may nothing or no one (especially me) stand in your way!!!!
