Ephesians 2
8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
We are saved by grace through faith, in baptism for good works. It really is that simple. It is through nothing we have done, nor could do that we are saved. It is for the reason of bringing glory and honor and praise to God the Father by proclaiming the Good News of the Gospel of Christ. And yes, we were each created to DO good things for God. Not just tell people about Jesus, but live in such a way as to draw people closer to Him!
