Psalm 47
1 Come, everyone! Clap your hands!
Shout to God with joyful praise!
2 For the Lord Most High is awesome.
He is the great King of all the earth.
This morning’s Celebration services at Vero Christian Church remind me of these verses. We did indeed clap our hands and lift our voices in praise to the great King of all the earth. When we proclaim the glory and majesty of God through His Son Jesus, we cannot help but be awed by the Awesomeness of our Lord Jesus. When we then think about Jesus humbling Himself, giving up the glory of heaven and coming to earth to live as a human being…well, it is mind-boggling. The depth of love shown to us by God sending Jesus to this earth makes me fall on my knees in worship.
