Two New Births

Psalm 25

8 The Lord is good and does what is right;

he shows the proper path to those who go astray.

9 He leads the humble in doing right,

teaching them his way.

10 The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness

all who keep his covenant and obey his demands.

This evening, we had the privilege of witnessing two new births in Christ. Tracee and Ben both obeyed the Gospel and had their sins washed away as about 25 of us gathered to celebrate. Ben comes as a result of a recovery ministry led by Pete Binns. Tracee comes because Sue Smith invited her to church. Steve taught them (and several others) in our Discover Class today. They were drawn to Jesus and they responded properly. My prayer tonight is that they will continue to draw closer to Jesus each day, and that those of us who witnessed their new births will be a source of encouragement for them both in the days to come.
