1 Corinthians 11
1 And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.
If imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, then I want my life to be flattered as others imitate my imitation of Christ. Yeah, that sounds kind of cocky, doesn’t it? But remember, I want to imitate Christ, so if those around me are imitating me, then they would really be imitating Christ. Right? Well, I know that my children (both physical and spiritual) imitate many of my traits. My prayer is that they will distinguish between my faults and Christ living in me, and imitate only the latter. Father, help me to live a life that is so Christ-like that I would be proud to have others imitating me in their own lives each day.
