Roaring Lions

Zephaniah 3

1 What sorrow awaits rebellious, polluted Jerusalem,
the city of violence and crime!
2 No one can tell it anything;
it refuses all correction.
It does not trust in the LORD
or draw near to its God.
3 Its leaders are like roaring lions
hunting for their victims.

As I red this passage, I couldn’t help but remember what Peter wrote about a roaring lion:
1 Peter 5:8
“8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

Yes, the leaders of God’s city get the same designation as satan does. Leaders who move the people away from God and His Word are quite literally agents of satan. Be they religious leaders, political leaders, or family leaders. We have plenty of satan’s agents at work today, now is the time for Christ Followers to lead people back to the Book and back to Jesus!
