Hebrews 12
14 Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.
This is an interesting command from Scripture. Work at living in peace with everyone. In living a holy life, we will, by definition, be at odds with those who live pagan lifestyles. However, we who follow Christ must live in such a way as to attract the pagans to Christ, not to repel them from Him. Too many Christians fail in this regard. We cannot expect pagans to live like Christians, because they are NOT Christians. Why is it that so many Christians get this confused? Why do we expect pagans to act morally? Why do we “fight” when we should love? May I work at living a holy life so that others will see Jesus at work in my life, and be attracted to Him. I desire to live in such a manner as to bring glory and honor to Jesus, and to draw others to Him always.
