Proverbs 29
12 If a ruler pays attention to liars,
all his advisers will be wicked.
This applies not just to rulers, but to us all. When we pay attention to liars, we will accept evil advice. When the culture says stuff like, “it’s okay to have sex before marriage,” or “homosexual behavior is okay,” or “disrespect those in authority,” or “five miles over the speed limit is okay” well, we are accepting advice from liars and it is not pleasing to God. Pretty simple when we think of it in those terms, isn’t it?
