All I really want in life

Psalm 142

5 Then I pray to you, O Lord.

I say, “You are my place of refuge.

You are all I really want in life.

This psalm of lament from David gets to the bottom line here in verse 5. This is not David’s last line of defense type prayer, this is the attitude of his heart in the good times and in the bad times. He prays to the Lord: “You are my place of refuge. You are all I really want in life.” That is my daily prayer as well. God has blessed me with so much. A loving wife, beautiful, God-fearing children, the privilege of serving Him in full-time vocational ministry, living in Vero Beach...this list could go on and on and on. However, all I really want in life in my Lord Jesus.
