The LORD Scoffs

Psalm 2

1 Why are the nations so angry? Why do they waste their time with futile plans?
 2 The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the Lord and against his anointed one.
 3 “Let us break their chains,” they cry, “and free ourselves from slavery to God.”
4 But the one who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them.

In this age of Political Correctness, when the One True God is scorned in our society, and when the name of Jesus may only be uttered as a curse word; I cannot help but see God laughing at the people of the United States of America. How dare we call on His Name in times of disaster or distress, yet mock His Name in every other situation! Now, there are plenty of Christ Followers in this country still, but the nation as a whole has been given over to pagan thinking. The LORD is not interested in America, He is interested in those whom He has called. I am so glad to be in that latter group.
