Proverbs 23
17 Don’t envy sinners,
but always continue to fear the Lord.
18 You will be rewarded for this;
your hope will not be disappointed.
Godliness with contentment is great gain. I am reminded today of an old song that says, “I would rather have Jesus than anything this world affords today. That is my lifestyle. I do not envy those who appear to have it all (at least as the culture defines it). I am content to be a child of Christ, Peggy’s husband, Elliott (Abi), Ian, and Emily’s dad, and a minister of the Gospel of Christ serving at Vero Christian Church. My life is absolutely amazing and I wouldn’t dare ask for anything more.
