Proverbs 3
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
This is so much easier said than done. We say we want to trust in the Lord, but we still try to hang on to our own understanding. Total surrender is what the Lord expects of His followers. I confess that I know nothing. I am the Sgt. Schultz of knowledge and understanding when left to my own devices. I will lean wholly on Christ Jesus, and will trust in Him alone. This is difficult for a stubborn, independent-minded goober like me. It is also the ONLY way I can live if I am to be a totally committed follower of Christ.
