Mark 13

12 “A brother will betray his brother to death, a father will betray his own child, and children will rebel against their parents and cause them to be killed. 13 And everyone will hate you because you are my followers. But the one who endures to the end will be saved."

In the midst of Jesus telling about what is to come in the near future, He makes this bold statement: “And everyone will hate you because you are my followers.” Christians in America whine because the culture makes fun of us, because we don’t fit with the Politically Correct Crowd, etc. Wah. Cry me a river. We Christians in America know nothing of persecution. More Christians were martyred in the last century than in the previous 19 centuries before that COMBINED! People are literally laying down their lives for the cause of Christ all around the world. Yet, in America, Christianity virtually costs us nothing. Makes me wonder how authentic we are.
